Karate Katie

Well, Tang Soo Do isn’t quite Karate, but close enough.  Katie recently earned her first belt above the white belt, which for her is a white with orange stripe.  Rob actually helped her and her class with their forms before their test.

Touring Philly

The day after the battleship visit, I took in some of the most famous sights in Philadelphia.  First I went downtown and saw the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and then I drove out to Valley Forge, which is just outside Philly.

Battleship New Jersey

Two weeks ago, I managed to finally get a whole weekend to myself, so I was able to go see some of the sights in Philadelphia.  First on my list was the U.S.S. New Jersey, anchored just across the river.

Fort Mifflin

I haven’t been able to get out much here in Philly, but back on May 9th, I did take some time out to go see Fort Mifflin.  It was a Revolutionary War era fort that was used up through 1952.  I only learned about it because I flew over it – it’s right next to the airport, off the east end of the runway!
