Disney World – days 3 & 4

Our third day we spent in Epcot.  It’s been a while since we’ve been here, and they’ve made a lot of updates to the park.  One of the newest rides is Space, which simulates a launch into orbit and then onto Mars.  Yet again, way too many things to see and do, but I think we hit all the best parts.

We wanted to ride the monorail, so we got on a bus to the Magic Kingdom, and took the monorail over to Epcot.

Disney World – day 2

Our second day was spent in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios).  This park doesn’t have quite as many rides as the Magic Kingdom, mostly things to see and do, but we still had a lot of fun.  A couple rides that aren’t pictured below are the Tower of Terror and the Rockin’ Roller Coaster.  Rob & Katie both rode the Tower of Terror.  Katie was real excited about it at first, but when she got off, she said “My legs are wobbly!”.  She wouldn’t ride it again, but she enjoyed watching the doors open and people drop!  Rob rode the Rockin’ Roller Coaster, not knowing that it was a looping roller coaster (we didn’t know either), since it’s all indoors and in the dark.  However, he liked it a lot, and actually rode it twice.  He said he’s gotten over his fear of upside down roller coasters now.

First thing we rode was Star Tours, of course! It hasn't changed since they created it in 1988, and it's still a great ride, although they're closing it next year for a substantial overhaul!

Disney World – day 1

This past fall break, we did something we haven’t been able to do for a long time – have a vacation for ourselves!  Of course, we decided to go to Disney World.  🙂  We spent a total of 6 nights and 5 full days in Disney World, but only 4 days in the parks since we decided to have a day in the middle to rest.  Rob hasn’t been since he was 1 year old,  so he doesn’t remember the last time we went, so basically it was all new for all the kids.

Since there’s so many pictures, I’m going to split this up into different posts.  This first post is only going to cover our first full day, which we spent in the Magic Kingdom.  The other days will come later.
